Welcome to PPC Foiling UK

Where passion for the detail meets innovation in water sports!

PPC are being bought to the UK by wingfoil speed champion Richard Hobson. Being involved in Board Sports for 35 years and having a passion for the purest parts of the sport Richard has been interested in pushing the limits of wing foiling since it became a sport.

Richard Hobson at Rutland Speed Clinic during Storm Darragh

Traveling around the World windsurfing alongside his career as an engineer from the beaches of Australia to Maui where he met his good friend and mentor who changed and shaped the course of his sailing and ultimately introduced him to wing foiling.

Having tried every aspect of windsurfing Richard found going quickly was where he felt he did his best work having been a competitive Windsurfer on the slalom and speed sailing scenes in the UK both on Fin and Foil Richard found his niche though in wing foiling becoming the British Speed champion 3 times.

Putting the acquired knowledge earned over 1000’s of hours on the foil he has decided to look at ways he can develop the next generation of riders to become amazing in their chosen aspect of wing foiling. Being immensely passionate in the sport of Wing foiling he wants to promote the sport as much as possible to as many people as possible to this ends he started a YouTube channel to allow people to understand some of the myths in wing foiling.

One thing we know is that there are no rules, for example “why can I not use a sub 500cms foil in 8 knots” you can! who said you can’t? This is why PPC wings play a big part in Richard’s decision to develop the sport to all no matter what their ability is.

Richard’s commitment to the sport extends beyond developing the riders from every aspect of wing foiling; he understands the significance of a product that has to meet so many headlines in the environment of austerity selling a durable, long-lasting product in a high-priced sport is important. To achieve this, PPC engages in extensive prototyping and testing, selecting materials that prioritize both performance and longevity.
